Transfer to a hotel in the city for overnight accommodations at the Princess reforma | | Day 2 | Guatemala | SUN. GUATEMALA : In the morning transfer to the Archaeological Site of El Baul and La Democracia on the South Coast of Guatemala, where remains of the Olmec culture can be found.(B) | | Day 3 | Copan | MON. GUATEMALA-COPAN : Begin the trip that will take you through El Progreso and Zacapa. Continue to Copan, Honduras. Here you will visit the archaeological site which contains one of the greatest collection of Mayan sculptures anywhere in Central America. Time to visit the main Plaza, its Temples and the complete Ball Court. Overnight HOTEL POSADA REAL. (B) | | Day 4 | Puerto Barrios | TUE. COPAN-QUIRIGUA-PUERTO BARRIOS : After breakfast return to Guatemalan territory to continue to Quirigua, where you will find 12 carved stelaes, 4 enormous carved stones of mythological forms and unrestored temples. The dates recorded on the monuments are exact intervals of 800 days.... In the afternoon proceed to Puerto Barrios for overnight accommodations. HOTEL AMATIQUE BAY. (B) | | Day 5 | Rio Dulce | WED. PUERTO BARRIOS-RIO DULCE : In the morning join the launch excursion to Livingston. In the afternoon, continue to Castillo de San Felipe. Overnight accommodations will be in the Rio Dulce Area. HOTEL CATAMARAN. (B) | | Day 6 | Flores | THU. RIO DULCE-FLORES : Morning at leisure. After lunch, transfer by land to Flores or Tikal for Overnight accommodations at CAMINO REAL TIKAL. (B) | | Day 7 | Flores | FRI. FLORES-CEIBAL-FLORES : Transfer to Ceibal for sightseeing of the site, here among very thick jungle vegetation the Mayas built one of the most beautiful stelaes, (still in perfect shape), also you will see the great observatory . After lunch transfer back to Flores for overnight accommodations at VILLA MAYA. (B) | | Day 8 | Flores | SAT. FLORES-YAXHA-FLORES : Transfer to Yaxha Lake for a visit to the Archeological site of the same name (it means green waters). Yaxha was a large Mayan city, time to explore the area and after lunch transfer back to Flores for overnight accommodations at CAMINO REAL TIKAL. (B) | | Day 9 | Guatemala | SUN. FLORES-TIKAL-GUATEMALA : Today, you will go back more than 2,000 years in time when you visit Tikal. Early morning transfer to the National Park for a visit of the many pyramids, stelaes, temples and buildings of one of the major archaeological finds of the Americas "Tikal", the Capital of the Mayan Empire After lunch you will visit the local museum. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Guatemala city. Hotel PRINCESS REFORMA. (B,L) | | Day 10 | Return USA | MON.
