Getting there from Arusha:
By Air
There are daily flights leaving Arusha local airport (ARK) for Zanzibar (ZNZ) at 10:50am and 3:15pm, arriving ZNZ at 11:50am and 4:30pm respectively.
Our fare is $170/person one way, and $330/person return including all taxes.
To get back to Arusha from Z’bar: You can fly for the same above prices, and there is a daily flight leaving ZNZ at
By Bus,
9 hrs to Dar for $25/person, followed by 90 minutes boat drive to Z'bar for $60/person.
To return to ARK (or JRO= Kilimanjaro International Airport) from ZNZ:
The fare is as above, and there is a daily flight leaving ZNZ at 2:00pm arriving ARK at 3:00pm.
Getting there from Nairobi:
By Air
There are daily flights from Nairobi (NBO) to Zanzibar (ZNZ), leaving NBO at 1:00pm, and 1:45pm, arriving ZNZ at 2:15pm and 4:30pm respectively. The fare is $250/person one way ($480/person return) including all taxes.
To return to NBO from ZNZ:
The fare is as above, and there are daily flights leaving ZNZ at 7:30am, 11:40am and 3:15pm, arriving NBO at 9:30am and 4:30pm respectively.
Getting there from Dar:
By Ferry
Its about 90mins to 2hrs boat ride, and they operate daily between 7am and 4pm, and it costs $60/person each way
By Air:
It’s a 20minutes flight, and it costs $70/person each way.
There are daily flights from DAR to ZNZ, leaving DAR at 6:50am, 11:00am and 1:30pm, arriving ZNZ at 7:10am, 11:20am and 1:50pm respectively.
To return to DAR from ZNZ:
The fare is as above, and there are daily flights leaving ZNZ at 8:30am, 11:50am, 12:30pm,4:00pm and 5:00pm, arriving DAR at 8:50am, 12:10pm, 12:50pm, 4:20pm and 5:20pm respectively.
